Burcu TÜRKEŞ / Corporate Sustainability, Risk and Governance Director

Born in Adana in 1978, Burcu Türkeş received her bachelor’s degree from the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Boğaziçi University and her master degree from the Department of International Business and European Union Economics and Law at Warwick University. Having worked in various sales, marketing and business processes management positions under the structure of Sabancı Holding – DuPont partnership and at DuPont Turkey Central structures during the first 5 years of her career, Türkeş has assumed various senior-level manager positions under the structure of DuPont America Headquarters, DuPont Turkey, Europe and Middle East organizations for the last 10 years of her career. Having finally served as DuPont Turkey Consulting Business Country Manager, Türkeş led restructuring, change management, operational efficiency, corporate sustainability and operational risk management projects of various companies across Turkey, Europe and Middle East operating in a wide range of industries including petrochemicals, mining, fast moving consumer goods, retail, pharmaceuticals, food and healthcare. Türkeş has started to work as the Corporate Sustainability and Governance Director at Toros Tarım as of 19 December 2016. Fond of travelling and discovering new routes and tastes, Türkeş also takes active roles in the preparation of new generations for the future under the scope of the Turkish Education Foundation’s (TEV) official mentoring program and supports various NGOs in the fields of professional-personal development.
