Toros Agri Claims the Export Championship for the 6th Consecutive Time

Toros Agri claimed the Fertilizer Export Champion title at the “İKMİB Stars of Export Awards” organized by the Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters' Association (İKMİB). Having secured the award for the sixth consecutive year, Toros Agri exported a staggering 267 thousand tons of products to 13 countries in 2022.

Toros Agri, the leading company in the fertilizer industry in Turkey, achieved yet another remarkable feat by reclaiming the title of Fertilizer Export Champion at the "İKMİB Stars of Export Awards" organized by the Istanbul Chemicals and Products Exporters' Association (İKMİB). This achievement solidifies Toros Agri's position as the largest company in terms of installed fertilizer production capacity, annual production amount, and market share. Claiming the championship for the 6th time in chemical fertilizers with its exports, Toros Agri realized 267 thousand tons of foreign sales in 2022. Exporting to a total of 13 countries, including Romania, last year, the company continued its championship streak since 2017.

The award ceremony organized by the Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters' Association, one of Turkey’s leading Exporters' Associations with more than 9,000 members, was held on June 16, 2023 to crown the achievements of its members who assumed the leadership in their categories. Toros Agri, which has been the title holder in the Fertilizer Export category since 2017, once again claimed the championship award at the ceremony. Ahmet Eren, the General Manager of Toros Agri and Vice President of the Tekfen Holding Agri-Industry Group, stated that they are proud that the company, which is the biggest player in the fertilizer industry in Turkey, has won the export championship for the 6th time with its contribution to the country's economy. Eren also said: “Operating in the fields of mineral fertilizers, water-soluble specialty fertilizers, and organic/organomineral fertilizers, our company maintains its position as the largest corporation in Turkey in terms of production and market share. Aims set to boost exports in Europe

Highlighting that Toros Agri achieved a total sales of 1 million 618 thousand tons in 2022, Eren said: “Toros Agri, having held the title of Turkey's largest mineral fertilizer exporter between 2017 and 2022, could export 267 thousand tons in 2022 due to the restrictions imposed on the international sales of fertilizers in 2021. Despite the decrease in our total export tonnage as a result of the export restrictions applied compared to the previous year (382,947 tons vs. 266,820 tons), we maintain our leadership in this field. With exports reaching 13 countries, our company aims to become a regional player and expand its global footprint by strengthening its geographical coverage and export capabilities under the Toros brand, after the restrictions on fertilizer exports are lifted.”
